For my birthday I decided that my family would watch one of my favourite films from last year the Lego movie and I still really enjoy this film.
The premise of the film sees an average construction worker end up having to fulfill some prophecy and attempt to stop the evil Lord business from stopping creative building.
Chris Pratt had a great 2014 and he delivered his voice to emmett who was an interesting character tthat you felt sympathy for and really wanted to believe in and care for.
normally when it comes to voice acting I don't care about the star but the huge names in this film really worked. Will Ferrell was a great choice for Lord business and he really played up the evil but fun villain in a family film like this. Morgan Freeman plays the mentor and he is great and funny in the role which gives the film real importance. Liam neeson was great as bad cop and he was funnier then I ever expected he would ever be in a role like this. people know how much I love the character of Batman and when he turns up in this film the film improves so much and becomes hilarious to watch. There are also some awesome cameos which I won't spoil but they really helped make this film great.
There are a few to many worlds that are shown in this universe and makes this film feel like bit long at times and the story is a little generic. But once the last 30 mins of the film start it becomes one of the most emotional films you will see in recent memories.
The script is really funny and the humour really makes all the characters interesting and funny. But as I said before the drama really picks up and makes this film more then just a good film.
The style of the film is what has everybody talking about because it is some of the best cgi in a film ever as they nailed the Lego universe and how everything and I mean everything is made of Lego and it was perfect.
Overall I love this film and it is a fantastic family film to see.

First official image of Jared leto as the joker
A big reveal today as David Ayer revealed the first look at Jared letos joker and I must say it's a bit different to anything we have seen before.
I have always believed that Jared Leto was a great choice for the joker and even though a look doesn't tell anybody how good the performance will be this image does settle my fear. Obviously heath ledgers performance as the joker is iconic and should be remembered for how phenomenal it was but I believe that this joker will be completely different.
Obviously the hair stands out as the green is incredibly bright and stands out more then previous jokers and I like it. Also you have the purple glove which makes it seem like we are finally going to see the joker closer to what he is in the comic books. Clearly the metal teeth are a departure but I think it seems that this is because of some previous encounter with Batman which ruined his smile which is so big part of the character.
Obviously we don't know how much the joker is going to be in the suicide squad film but I have full confidence in the performance of the character.

The Avengers Age of Ultron (2015) review
Yes I have finally seen the highly anticipated Avengers age of Ultron and I must say boy does it live up to the hype.
The premise of this film sees Tony stark attempt to jumpstart a peace program in an attempt to save the world. But he ends up creating the evil AI nemesis Ultron who wants to eradicate all of humanity.
Now the first Avengers film proved that the ensemble cast of these big characters can really work and this film proved it even more. Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans are at their best in this film with their chemistry being fantastic and you can really see how this film leads to captain America civil war. You totally understand both of their points of view and you feel sorry for both of the characters and like both of their characters.
There are allot of important people to talk about in this film. First of all is Chris hemsworth as Thor, he was hilarious in this film and even though his story arc wasn't great it is really important for the future of these films. Scarlett Johansson is always great in the role of black widow and her character in this film shows why she is the biggest female badass in film. In the first Avengers film Hawkeye was massively underutilized but he was probably my favourite character of the film. They explored his character so much and he had the most comedic and best lines of the film which made me really happy to see. Of course the hulk is back in this film and he is more brutal then ever making him the coolest hulk we have seen on screen. Now to the new characters of the cast, firstly James spader was great as I expected as Ultron with his robotic villain being truly memorable and a bit more humorous then I expected but totally lived up to what I expected. Scarlett witch stole the show in this film her powers and character really made her awesome and a character that was impressive for the film. Quicksilver was also really cool in the film even though I'm not sure if he was as cool as the X-Men days of future past version of the character. And finally to the wildcard which was the Vision, Paul Bettany was fantastic in the role and madethe character completely awesome.
The story was better then I thought, when I saw the trailer I thought there was maybe too much going on but there wasn't really it all worked and felt like a dramatic character study. They enhanced the characters so much and also this film set up so much for the future of the marvel cinematic universe. I loved the implication of ai taking over the world and how it is a real problem in the film and the Avengers have to become a team in order to stop them.
Some people will complain about the over use of humour but I thought the blend of drama and humour really worked making all the characters relatable and making all the relationships seem real and relatable.
The action was all awesome and epic with everyone's powers and abilities being showcased in the perfect way to make the film look amazing.
Overall I enjoyed the first Avengers film so little bit more but this film is absolutely epic and definitely worth watching. Also if you are a fan of the universe then definitely stay for the mid credits scene.

The Flash episode 18 All star team up review
The Flash is back after a couple of weeks off and it. Same back with an absolute bang. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episode yet.
The premise of the episode sees felicity smoke and Ray Palmer from arrow come to central city to help team flash take down so bee controlling meta human. Meanwhile, Joe and Barry attempt to include more people into what they know about Harrison wells.
Grant gustin is a great Barry Allen and this has been proved by these last few episodes. You clearly feel for the character and you understand why he is going through the emotional trauma that he is on the show. You manage to sympathise for the character even though he is more gifted then any of us.
Now yes I have not been a huge fan of the felicity and Ray love triangle story on arrow this season but I like both of the performances and their chemistry is really good. It is clear to me that Ray Is much better suited to being a part of team flash then arrow because he is science based and just fills in well especially with Cisco. Cisco was a really big part of the episode too with him clearly starting to work out that wells is the reverse flash and it makes you wonder how long he has realised for. Wells didn't have a big influence on the episode himself but judging from next week's promo that is going to change. The Meta human bug eyed bandit wasn't that important to the episode and felt just like an obstacle the team had to overcome become they get to the reverse flash.
The premise of the starling city characters coming over was a good idea even though if they weren't there I'm not sure how much different the episode would have been. The advancement of the big stories is really helping the flash and making it one of the more interesting stories on tv.
The script was good with allot of well timed humour and quick witted dialogue but again when it needed to get dramatic it knew how too.
The action wasn't really what this episode was about to be honest, I thought the bees were pretty cool but they didn't have a big purpose in the episode.
Overall Even though this episode felt a bit like filler I did really enjoy it with even better to come I hope.

arrow season 3 episode 19 broken arrow review
Wow allot has happened in the latest episode of arrow and it is time I spoke about it. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episode yet.
The premise of the episode sees Roy Harper arrested for revealing himself as the arrow. While a meta human from central city arrives in starling that forces Oliver and Ray to team up.
Stephen amell has had to turn up his acting ability because of the fact that these few episodes have seen him as just Oliver queen and not the character of the arrow. He has to deal with allot of different issues so far this season that have brought the best out of his character.
This episode was a clear Roy Harper episode with Colton Haynes delivering a performance that makes you clearly care about his character. Obviously he now isn't dead but it does seem at least for now that he is going to be leaving the show even though there is obviously a chance he can return in the future. Willa Holland also had an important role in the episode and obviously with Roy leaving and her death it seems her character is going to take a turn with her going in the Lazarus pit. This was also a big ray Palmer episode and I like the character of the atom but I'm not really a fan of the love triangle aspect of the show so it made that part of the episode not as interesting. The villain of the episode deathbolt was pretty cool even though we didn't learn too much about the character.
The story of the episode was a bit of a mixed bag because I didn't really care to much about the Ray and Oliver romance with felicity stuff but I thought The Roy scenes were great. I didn't feel the emotional impact when it was revealed that Roy was dead so I knew it was a trick and I did feel the impact when Roy left at the end of the episode. Obviously the crazy ending with ras ah ghul killing thea queen was awesome even though it seems she will be coming back to life in the next episode.
The script was a bit too aimed at humour sometimes but the drama with the Roy scenes and it felt a little unbalanced.
The action scene were really good and the mix of comic book aaction between deathbolt and the atom and the grit of the Roy Harper fight scenes mixed really well.
Overall a good episode and I think the next few episodes can lead to huge things.

Fantastic four trailer 2 review
This is truly the week of new trailers and there is a new trailer for the new fantastic four trailer and it is time to speak about it.
This film has had allot of well publicized problems but I did like the first trailer and I like this one as well.
First of all it fleshes out what is going on and I like the idea of reed Richards being the smartest member of the team and like the world. Plus the actor miles teller is great so I expect big things from him. I also like the idea of inter dimensional travel, in the previous film they never truly explain why the group goes on the mission but at least they are this time.
Invisible woman and human torch look cool but we have seen those characters look cool in the past it is the thing I want to talk about. The previous thing looked okay but at times it came across as ridiculous but the new cgi thing looks fantastic and he looks just how I imagine the thing should look.
And yes we finally get our first look at Dr doom in this film, Victor domashev is apparently a blogger who goes with the team, which gives me allot of hope that this blogger thing is a joke and he will turn out to be the true Dr doom that we have never seen before on the big screen.
Overall I am optimistic about this film but I will wait to see the film before getting to excited.

Daredevil episodes 6,7 & 8 review
I have now managed to see a few more episodes of daredevil and I think I should talk about it. Be careful for spoilers if you haven't seen the episodes yet.
The premise of these few episodes sees daredevil trying to get to fisk by taking down his followers. The Russian mafia, his money and the Japanese yakuza. Meanwhile fisk attempts to regain his confidence and get all his allies together to make his big play.
Charlie Cox continues to be great as daredevil, he does strike you as a vigilante who will do aanything but kill people to protect his city. I do wish we had seen more of Matt Murdoch at this point but I'm guessing that is coming either later in this season or the eventual season 2 that this series will definitely get.
I am glad they finally have Karen page, foggy Nelson and Ben Ulrich doing more with daredevil because I like all their characters but they have seemed seems little in the rear view because they haven't got anywhere. But now that it seems they are all working together it makes me think they will become more important. Wilson fisk is one of the biggest villains in the marvel comics and now that he is back on the universe it seems he is going to be done right. Even though he is a bit different to the comic kingpin we know more about him and we kind of understand his motivations why he is doing it. One other big character in episode 7 was stick, Murdoch's mentor was great and I thought they did a great job in the flashbacks and present day stuff to show their interesting relationship.
The premise of daredevil having to take down fisks associates makes sense and provides an interesting dynamic before you get to the final showdown between daredevil and kingpin. I liked all the individual stories of the episodes and I think it has really done a good job of fleshing out daredevil and kingpin even though it does leave a few characters a bit underdeveloped. As I said before I wish there was more courtroom scenes and I hope I get my wish.
The script was good especially the interactions between stick and Matt that provided some fun look into the characters relationship and how Matt is evolving as daredevil.
The fight scenes and dark style always hold up on the show with the roof collapsing stunt in episode 6 being the most impressive. Along with the fight scene in episode 2 probably the best action scene they have done.
Overall daredevil is living up to the hype and I am so excited to ssee The rest of the season.

Batman v superman dawn of justice teaser trailer review
Finally it is hear the Batman v superman trailer is online and it is beyond time for me to talk about it.
Now I am anticipating this film allot because we as comic book fans have been waiting for this film forever. This trailer tries to really emphasize that we are finally going to see the fight between Batman and superman .
The trailer starts all about superman and with the world conflicted over him, some worship him some fear him. Obviously I think this is the right way to go because in this realistic world a divide would happen because of the events of man of steel leaving an entity that splits the whole world. There is a scene where it shows soldiers wearing supermans emblem and bowing to him which has truly angered fans. I think this decision to have soldiers bowing is against supermans wishes and he is clearly against being treated as a god and I think that will be a big factor in this film.
Then the trailer shifts to the Batman part of the trailer and Ben Affleck is the perfect choice to play this iconic character. He looks massive in the suit which is great because it looks like this Batman will look more comic book like then ever before.
Obviously the confrontation is going to be huge and the armour Batman is wearing clearly shows that they are going to make this a brutal battle. The voice sounds more mechanical which i get but I'm not 100 percent sold on it and I will need to hear it more.
Overall I really enjoyed This first trailer for this film but I am still stuck little cautious for the film.

Premier league weekend roundup
I know it is like super late but it is finally time to talk about the premier league weekend roundup.
Best scoreline of the weekend - this result goes to Crystal palace for their dominating display over so hugely average Sunderland team. Bolasie got a hat trick and palace deserve all the credit in the world for their turn in form especially after I predicted they would be relegated, shows what I know.
Best Performance of the weekend - this goes to Manchester utd for their fantastic performance against man city. The way they recovered from going one down is telling stuff of champions and they now have players all over the pitch that can really hurt an opposition even of the highest quality.
Player of the weekend - normally if a player gets a hat trick I give them this award and this week is no different with yannick bolasie getting the nod. For a long time he has been a player that many have seen as a speed merchant with allot of tricks and no end product but now he is working on that and his end product is improving.
Manager of the weekend - this actually goes to a Manager that I am not a fan of in Nigel Pearson but he took a gamble against west Brom. drawing 2-2 he urged his team forward to get a win that just might be the start of a run that could potentially see them stay in the division.
Major talking points - Chelsea are not in the best form at the moment but they do keep winning even though their performances may not merit it. After another defeat on the weekend Manchester city's top four position could come under threat from Liverpool and Southampton which would see the end of pellegrini for sure. The bottom of the table has now for very tight and it is going to be interesting to see who survives.

star wars episode 7 the force awakens teaser trailer 2 review
It is finally here and we get Christmas early as soon new star wars episode 7 trailer is here and this is one of those trailers that makes me want to see The film tomorrow which is perfect.
The trailer starts off with like Skywalker narrating about how the force affects his family and how somebody new has that power. Not only did we see the skeleton of Darth Vader which was great but we know see Luke with r2d2 on his own. I think that daisey ridleys character is the one who has the force because of her hopefully being Leia and Hans kid. All the throwbacks at the beginning though with the destroyed x wings and star destroyers just makes me remember that we the fans have star wars back in the hands of a guy who is one of us a true fan of this franchise.
I love the look of the empire in this trailer, first of all the stormtroopers all look fantastic and the tech of the empire looks perfect. Also kylo ren looks like he is going to be a truly villainous Sith and hopefully better then all of the prequel villains Sith combined. But in one scene it is showing tie fighters shooting on imperial troops making me think that there is possibly a division in the empire which may result in John boyegas character Finn to join the rebellion in some way.
And then we get the throwback of throwbacks when we see Chewbacca and Han solo on screen with the line 'chewwie, were home'. It was just so perfect and one of the best endings to a trailer ever that has got me even more pumped for this film which I can't believe.

And then we get the throwback of throwbacks when we see Chewbacca and Han solo on screen with the line 'chewwie, were home'. It was just so perfect and one of the best endings to a trailer ever that has got me even more pumped for this film which I can't believe.

Guardians of the galaxy (2014) review
Now that I am probably getting the chance to see Avengers age of Ultron next week it is time I review the newest marvel film in this universe, guardians of the galaxy.
The premise of the film sees a group of criminals and misfits being forced to work together in an attempt to save a planet and defeat the evil Ronan the accuser.
Now Chris Pratt was perfect for the role of Peter quill/star Lord in this film. He had enough charisma and likeability to pull off the role and make his character the nearest thing to Han solo since the original star wars films. His chemistry with the entire cast was great and he was the character with most depth to him which made him a great lead role.
The rest of the team starts off with Zoe saldana as the assassins gamora. She has an awesome back story and her character is interesting even though we don't learn too much about her in the film. She was a great character and her relationship with star Lord really was a good addition tho this film. Next is Dave bautista as drax the destroyer. Now this was the casting that nobody understood because this was his first big role since leaving the wwe. But he was fantastic in this film, he was funny and a badasss plus he seems to have impressed marvel so much that there are rumours that he could be the first guardian to head to earth in an Avengers film. Then Bradley Cooper voices rocket raccoon and my goodness this is one of the best characters marvel has ever done. He was a gamestealer, he was hilarious and funny but you also could see the damage put upon him to make him so angry at the world as he truly is but yeah rocket was awesome in this film. And finally vin diesel voices the living tree groot. I was watching the film again last night and I finally realised just how cool groot truly is, he is the nicest tree ever put in film but if anyone tries to hurt his friends he snaps and it is awesome. There are some moments in the film where you learn to appreciate just how cool groot really is and vin diesel did a great job in the voice. Also when I watched the film the first time I wasn't a fan of the villain Ronan because he felt like a weak bad guy just because he was an underlying to thanos. But when you think about his motivations and see how cool he was in battle it is clear he is a decent villain that was perfect for this film. Yes he won't be the next Darth Vader or Loki but he was a great antagonist in the film especially with his relationship with drax and just how personal it is.
Yes the story is pretty simple, with an item so team has to recover before the bad guy to stop the world being destroyed. But what was great is that this film New that and plays it up with some really interesting character development and a story that was entertaining and focused on the crew like it should have done.
The script is fantastic with so much humour in it and it all works, there are so many references that the aliens don't understand that starlord throws out that made me laugh. This script made all the good guys funny but gave them back story so you cared about them as characters.
The style is like star wars had a baby with star trek which is about the biggest compliment I can give this film. It just invests you in its world and makes you want to see more.
Overall this film is epic and one of the more memorable marvel films to say the least and definitely worth watching.

Gotham episode 14 the fearsome Dr crane review
I know it is really late but I have now seen Gotham episode 14 and it is way past the time i should be talking about it. be careful for spoilers if you haven't seen the episode yet.
The premise of the episode sees Gordon and bullock attempt to try and take down a serial killer who plays on people's fear. Meanwhile, fish reveals one of penguins secrets to maroni.
I think the character of Jim Gordon has been a bit stale for most of the season but they are starting to make him more interesting . His relationship with Dr Tompkins is helping that because their chemistry is really good and her great performance brings out the great performance from Ben McKenzie.
There are allot of characters on Gotham but in my opinion only a few of them really matter at the moment, maroni and penguin are two more interesting characters because even though their evil I see a bit of good about them and their scents were really good in this episode. Bullock was good in the episode and it was cool to see that he is becoming more in depth and we are finding out more about him as the show goes on. The show somewhat introduced the character of the scarecrow in the episode even though they did it in a unique way. The villain of the episode was not the scarecrow from The comics but his son Jonathan crane is the character in the comics, so it seems they are building to him becoming the character. I thought he was an interesting character in this episode even though it seemed like he was a little bit of an afterthought.
The premise of playing on ones fear is really interesting because in real life everybody has a fear so it makes the show relate to you more then a show that tries to paint the characters as not afraid of anything. I enjoyed the majority of the story arcs this week even though I'm not sure fan of the whole enigma story mainly because the character is a bit quirky for me on the show.
The script was decent with quite a few decent comedic lines and a bit of drama to match.
The style still looks great but the action scene just haven't really got to that high a level yet on the show but I think they will improve by the time we get to season 2.
Overall this is actually one of my favourite episodes of the season and it was definitely fun to watch.

Terminator Genisys theories
Following the terminator genisys trailer yesterday I made the assumption that the reason it seemed that John Connor was the villain was because it was the t-1000 who we see at the beginning of the trailer shape shifting as him. But it seems I am wrong and that the actual villain of the film is that of the saviour of humanity John Connor.
Okay here is my theory from everything that I have seen and heard. It seems that in the future skynet send the t-1000 to kill Sarah Connor as a child so she won't create John Connor. But in response John sends the t-800 to protect his mother and keep her safe. Now even further in the future skynet sends another terminator to kill Connors mother and in response John sends Kyle Reese to protect her. But because she has been hanging out with Arnold she is a warrior now and they beat the New terminator. So the film flashes forward quite a few years to where John Connor is grown up and because Kyle Reese is no longer around in the future John is kidnapped by skynet and turned into half man half machine.
Now if you read my trailer review you know that I knew there was a big twist in the film and this is it and I must say it is just stupid. The whole point of terminator has always been that John Connor is the saviour of humanity and the characters must do anything to protect him and make sure he fulfills his destiny to defeat the machines. But now what do they have to fight for because the guy they were trying to protect is trying to kill them. It just seems like this film is a bit too convoluted and it could have just been a relatively simple film and then may be try something crazier in the sequel. It seems like the narrative of the film is going to be a mess and it is going to disappoint.

Terminator Genisys trailer 2 review
Without much mention I see that a new terminator genisys trailer is out and this trailer gives us a lot more information then the previous one.
Now I will analyse the obvious first that it looks like the t-1000 is actually John Connor. Yes we see Jason Clarke as the t-1000 but remember the t-1000 can shapeshift so in my opinion this is just the t-1000 using the body of John Connor to go against Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor. I don't think it's a big swerve where the real John Connor is actually a bad guy.
I think emilia Clarke is a great choice for a young Sarah Connor and I really see her encapsulating the Linda Hamilton traits in this trailer. But I do have a couple of complaints in this trailer, one is that it seems the film may try to make the terminator a bit of season joke. Now I know Arnold Schwarzenegger has become a big of an action star joke but this is a serious franchise for him and if you make the terminator be too silly you lose the grit and coolness that the terminator used to be. And yes I am not a huge fan of jai Courtenay and after this trailer I don't think I'm ever going to be. He has some lines that seem ridiculous and his delivery is just off so that could really take away from my enjoyment.
Now if you watch the shmoesknow podcast on YouTube then you know there is a twist at the end of the film that they found out about and they all hated it. obviously I don't know what it is but if there is something terrible at the end of the film that will not help this film.
Overall I am still excited for this film I just hope it doesn't deliver on all these worries I have lingering inside of me.

ant man trailer review
So as anticipated a new trailer for marvels upcoming comic book film ant man was released today and for people that weren't big fans of first teaser trailer I feel like this is the trailer for you.
So we get allot of new stuff given to us in this trailer first is the villain Darren crosses motivations and his yellow jacket suit. We learn his motivations is to sell the ant man technology to the army for huge amounts of money. This does give this film a big comparison to the first iron man film but I love the first iron man film so if it ends up like that then I will be very happy. Also I think the yellow jacket suit looks great and is very comic booky which I know allot of people have complained about in recent marvel films.
Now people see this film as the forgotten marvel film and I kind of agree because of the lack of marketing. But they really have a chance to tell a really emotional story mixed with allot of humour. This film has The potential to be anything it wants to be it just has to go with the tone of this trailer and I think it will be fine.
But the best part of the trailer is the action scenes, they look absolutely breath taking. With the tech available now the possibilities are endless with the character of ant man and from this trailer they are going all out for the action scenes.
Overall this trailer has me more hyped for ant man and I am hoping that it does well enough to see more of ant man in the future of the marvel cinematic universe.

Arrow season 3 episode 18 public enemy review
I have now had time to see arrow episode 18 and I think it is about time that I spoke about it. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episode.
The premise of the episode sees captain lance vigorously hunting down team arrow. Until ras ah ghul reveals to lance who the arrow really is.
Stephen amell has been in the public eye for his casting in the new teenage mutant ninja turtles and he is great in this episode. I have always been impressed by his ability to really play two versions of Oliver queen and this episode showed that. You felt like he had no choice then to do the things that he did in this episode and you really felt sorry for him as he was really backed into a corner.
Now for 3 seasons now I have found captain lance to be maybe the most I interesting character on the show and this episode really proved that. You can just see how broken he is and how determined he is to take down the arrow to make up for what he believes is failure on his part. Roy was really important in this episode as you see how much he has developed over the last few seasons and obviously with him being arrested at the end of the episode it seems they are taking a different route with the character. It has also been reported that Roy could be leaving the show but I don't believe that and I think he will be back soon. The Ray, felicity part of the episode was fine with their chemistry being really good but I am just a little bit fed up of this love triangle that isn't as entertaining as the laurel, Oliver and Tommy triangle in season 1. It's great that we are finally seeing ras ah ghul in action and you can clearly see the cogs working to get Oliver to accept his offer and his master plan to be complete.
We have seen Oliver clash with authority in all the seasons but never to this extent, it was pretty intense seeing how far lance was willing to go to capture the arrow. Also as I mentioned before now that the whole city knows that Oliver queen is the arrow it is going to make the league plot much more interesting to the point where he will probably have to become ras ah Ghul. Again I like the characters of Ray and felicity but there part of the episode felt a little choppy and out of sync with the whole thing.
The script was as good as usual with more dramatic dialogue in this episode then all season, you really felt the intensity of it all by the dialogue and just how aggressive it all was. Mixed with the humour in the felicity Ray scenes it meshed well.
The action scenes were great and The overall way the episode was done made it really intense and made the episode the great episode that it was.
Overall this is a great episode and I feel like this is going to be a great end to arrows third season.

John Wick (2015) review
Taking a break from my daredevil binge I managed to see the action film John wick which has just come out in the UK and this film is definitely worth talking about because it is brilliant.
The premise of this film sees an ex hit man John wick who has lost his wife and everything special to him go after the men and teach them a lesson.
Now I have never been a huge keannu Reaves fan as an actor, I think he was good in the matrix but not much else. But he was perfect in the role of John wick, he was a total badass in this film with him nailing more headshots then anybody in any other film ever made. He was also great in all the emotional scenes that he had to do and it made you care about John wick and want him to succeed in his mission.
The villain in the film Michael nyqvist is really good in this film and played an interesting villain who again felt like an interesting character in this film and by the end you really hate the guy. Willem Dafoe is in the film and even though he isn't in the film that much he is a great actor and he makes the role work so you care about his character. Adrianne pallicki is one of my favourite actresses at the moment, she is probably the most interesting character on agents of shield and she was great in this film. She was deadly, sexy and a force to be reckoned with and her performance was great. The only character I had a slight problem with was the villains son he was just really damn annoying and I get it that he was meant to be but it doesn't mean I had to like the character.
If you described the premise to somebody they would probably laugh at you but I gotta say for this film it really works and really hits at your heart strings and then gets you pumped for the action. Also allot of the story ideas revolving the rules was really interesting and a unique thing for this film.
The script was great, yes some od it was a little cheesy but it just all worked for this film and that was probably because of keannus delivery.
The style was fantastic, this is probably some of the best action I have sever seen. Just all the action scenes hit like a tonne of bricks and you are glued to the screen as you see him totally decimate these bad guys. Also I love the world building in this film and there are specific things in this film that they can really explore in future films which I hope there are.
Overall I think John wick is one of the best action films ever and I would truly advise you to see it.

Daredevil episodes 4 and 5 review
So I have had time to watch a couple more episodes of daredevil so I wanted to talk about it. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episodes yet.
The premise of these episodes sees the ascension of Wilson fisk as he tries to take control of organized crime In Hells kitchen. Meanwhile Matt and Claire's relationship seems to becoming more real.
Charlie Cox is great as the character and I think he has great chemistry with Rosario Dawson and I find those scenes really enjoyable. Also pretty obvious but when he suits up he is great also. My only problem at the moment is the show is really focusing on the Matt Murdoch character that much and I really hope that starts to take place over the next few episodes.
Vincent donofriod is a great method actor and it is obvious to see that he did his research for the character of Wilson fisk. He looks like the character he acts like the character and he straight up is the character. The showrunners said that the first season of the show would focus as much on fisk as it would Daredevil. I think that is a great idea because we have to know more about this villain to truly buy into the hatred that happens between the two eventually. Rosario Dawson has a bigger role in these two episodes as Claire temple and I really like her in the role, you can clearly see the chemistry between her and Cox which makes me hope they find a way to make them stay together. Karen page and foggy nelson both have their individual stories where they grow as people and their relationship grows and I think it was clear in this episode that they are going to become really close in this season of the show. I just hope they create a bit of conflict to keep the pair interesting similar to what arrow did with laurel and Tommy in season one of that show. The Russian bad guys are quite cliche in characters but they are fine and they don't really ever cross over to being cartoons so it is fine.
The story seems to be focusing on fisk and the criminal element of hells Kitchen. This is a good idea because as I said before you need to know a villain to care about the heroes struggles and you want to see him overcome it. Fisks motivations are actually quite typical of comic book shows but it works and in the setting of hells kitchen it is believable. I know all these subplots are going to intertwine and come together and that is what interests me about the page and nelson arcs.
The script is good, there isn't anything special but it doesn't need to be. On the show there are quite a few long scenes so what the show does is fill it with allot of interesting dialogue to keep these characters interesting and make you care about them.
The style got pushed up a notch in these episodes with fisk decapitating The Russian leader and seeing his headless body just proves that this is completely different to the Avengers world. Obviously it is in the same universe but this is a completely new environment.
Overall this show has started with a bang and if it hits a few things that it has to it can go down as legendary.

Daredevil episodes 1, 2 and 3 review
So it is finally the day, Marvels new Netflix series based on the character of daredevil is out and I have had the time to watch the first three episodes. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episodes yet.
The premise of these first three episodes have been for us to see Matt Murdoch blind lawyer by day become the masked vigilante daredevil by night. In both the streets and the courtroom he is trying to make his city a better place by taking down the criminals of hells kitchen.
First off I was really happy when they announced that Charlie Cox was going to be Matt Murdoch because I am a big fan of his work in such films like stardust and the theory of everything. But this is different to anything he has ever done before and trust me he is absolutely perfect in this role. First of all he pulls of the lawyer and blind aspect of Matt Murdoch really well and he is actually quite funny at times where you wouldn't suspect it and he is great in the courtroom scene from episode 3 and I hope there is more of that. Then he becomes the daredevil and you see him flip the performance 180 as he becomes a badass vigilante who is completely aggressive and looking to take down the criminal organisations.
Now we haven't been introduced to too many big characters in the show so far but the main ones are foggy Nelson and Karen page. First to foggy, it does feel a little cliche to have a funny best friend to the hero but it can work especially if the character is actually funny which so far he has been on the show. I hope they give the character more depth as the season progresses like arrow did with Tommy merlyn. Karen page hasn't really had allot to do so far this in the episodes, she was the victim in the first episode and she has been just a friend. It seems they have big things planned for the character in the next few episodes and that is good because I like the character and want to see more. We also got a brief look at Vincent donofiro as Wilson fisk aka the kingpin and it is pretty obvious he is going to be the main villain of the series and I hope they really give us an interesting kingpin that we deserve.
The story has felt a little episodic so far with daredevil just going after your run of the mill villains without too much endgame. But now that fisk has been introduced I expect to see that change, also it seems the Karen page story is going to become more important and both stories will come together. A big thing to talk about is the flashbacks in The episodes showing Matt's life as a young boy. Many people will accuse this show of using the same tactic as arrow in this circumstance but I don't mind it at all, arrow won't be the first to do it and daredevil won't be the last. Also the emotional scenes in the flashbacks were great and it really makes you more sympathetic for this masked vigilante.
Even though this is an edgier darker product for marvel the script makes it feel like it is still massively connected to the marvel cinematic universe. There is quite a bit of well placed humour and all the emotional scenes have done a good job so far. Also there have been some references to the first Avengers film and also agents of shield so it makes it feel like it is connected as a whole.
The style is what has got everybody talking because this is definitely the darkest thing marvel studios has ever done. Again even though it is similar to arrow I think the tone is perfect for daredevil and I couldn't see this series being any other way. The fight choreography is superb with the end of episode 2 being my favourite as it feels as heavy hitting as it should.
Overall a fantastic start to the show which really makes me feel this can be as good as all the reporters are raving that it is.
Now I will be trying to watch the show in blocks of three episodes so I can get reviews out more frequently. I also need to see this week's arrow and agents of shield and also catch up on two weeks of Gotham. I also have some movie reviews planned, I have been super busy with work and everything but I will try to get that out as soon as possible. Thank you for the patience.

Agents of shield season 2 episode 12 who you really are review
It's a bit late but I have now seen The new episode of marvels agents of shield and it is about time I spoke about it. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episode yet.
The premise of the episode sees lady sif come to earth after a dangerous enemy who manages to wipe her memory. Also Hunter becomes suspicious of Mack and bobbi.
Clark Gregg is great as Phil Coulson but at the moment it feels like all the main stories don't really affect him at the moment and his character is really just the father figure of the show which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
This show has made the rest of the the cast important and adding lady sif to the episode was a great idea as she has been underused in the Thor films but this episode gives her character more depth and importance. Also the villain was more then your cliche villain and his motivations felt right for the Skye plot. Skye herself was really important in the episode with her powers starting to manifest you see that her mindset is becoming worse and worse. Bobbi, Mack and Hunter were all really good in the episode and I am really interested in what is going to happen in that storyline and it is the most interesting part of the show. Another interesting dynamic is fitz and Simmons and their relationship being much more complicated now then it has ever been.
The Skye story has really been interesting with her powers starting to take over and you see the way that her powers is splitting the team up. Also the dynamics of the other smaller plots is really working for me and it makes this show really interesting. The lady sif plot was good in this episode and it went with the Skye plot really well.
There was some good humour in the episode and some of the more intense drama really worked for the episode and I hope the show can sustain it.
The action scenes we're good in the episode and with supernatural beings it allows the show to do more extreme action which makes it more enjoyable.
Overall this was a really good episode and I really hope shield can keep the momentum up.

premier league weekend roundup
The weekend of premier league action has finished and with some of the best goals of the season taking place this past weekend it is about time to talk about it.
Best scoreline of the weekend - there is a draw for this award this week, the early kick off saw arsenal defeat Liverpool 4-1 while qpr best west brom by the same scoreline. Liverpool were woefully bad defending but arsenal going forward were great and deserve the great goals that they got. West brom are usually well drilled by Tony pulis but qpr were really good and proved that there is a small chance that they can stay up.
Best performance of the weekend - the best performance of the weekend actually came on the Monday night football when Crystal palace beat Manchester city 2-1. Pardew has done a fantastic job at palace and the victory over city was a great team performance.
Best player of the weekend - this actually goes to Aston villa striker Christian Benteke for his hat trick for villa against qpr on Tuesday night. Villa need a goalscorer in these last few games and Bentsen seems to be the one to do it.
Best manager of the weekend - Alan pardew, as I said before he has done a fantastic job as palace manager and his performance against city made his team performance even better.
Major talking points - after city's defeat and Chelseas victory over stoke it now seems the title is over and that Chelsea have it in the bag. With arsenal and man utd picking up form city are now in danger at finishing fourth or even worse in a surprisingly bad season for the club.

The flash wondercon trailer review
After seeing episode 17 of the flash I can now talk about the wondercon Trailer that has allot of new footage in it that will lead to huge things heading to the end of the season. Possible spoilers for the rest of the season.
As you can see on the image a big moment of the trailer shows Barry kiss Caitlin. Now with the supposed wedding between Caitlin and Ronnie Raymond this throws up big questions. My view is that this is either the chameleon meta human as Caitlin, possible gorilla grodd mind control or a different timeline where Caitlin and Barry hooked up.
Also allot of new reverse flash footage showing him trapped in the prison stood up meaning Barry will find out about wells and trap him in the prison somehow. Also we see him in costume fighting Oliver queen in the probable finale where it seems that Barry, Oliver and firestorm are going to have to team up to take down wells.
Also we saw more footage of the arrow cameos with Ray Palmer and felicity showing up in episode 18 and laurel and captain lance in episode 19. It seems that star labs are going to make improvements to the ATOM suit and it has been reported that Cisco is going to give laurel a device to give her something resembling her canary cry from the comics. Also we see gorilla grodd and some of the rogues who seem to be working with the reverse flash to cause havoc for the flash. And yes we see Eddie thawne killing a couple of cops which now seems to be from either grodd mind control or chameleon shape shifting that makes it seems like he has turned evil.
Overall I am so buzzing for the rest of the flash this season and I think it can be one of the best seasons for a superhero show.

The Flash episode 17 Tricksters review
The most improved show that I watch the flash is back and I have just seen episode 17 and it is about time to talk about it. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episode.
The premise of the episode sees team flash having to deal with a terrorist attack from the trickster. So they look to get help from the original trickster to catch him. Also in flashbacks it shows what happened to Harrison wells and the reverse flash just after Nora Allen's murder.
Now Barry Allen's story is becoming much more interesting became he seemingly Now knows that Harrison wells is the reverse flash it has made their relationship much more interesting and toxic. Also his interactions with Joe and his dad are totally emotional and really make the emotional aspect of the show worth it.
Harrison wells or eobard thawne is such an interesting character and the flashbacks showing him becoming the reverse flash were super interesting. His character is seemingly going to play a huge part of the rest of the season and with all of the time travel on the show they may be able to save Harrison wells from ever becoming eobard thawne. Now Mark Hamill returned to his role as the trickster and he was just so much fun to watch in this episode and his character was one of the most enjoyable of the series so far. Joe and Henry Allen were really the father figures in the episode and they seem to be the main ones helping Barry through the tragedy of finding out that Harrison wells is the reverse flash. I was not a big fan of the other trickster though and I thought his character was pretty weak.
The premise of the tricksters always working together was a nice twist and I thought the present day and flashbacks worked together really well. The reveal that in this timeline Harrison wells is dead and eobarde thawne is masquerading as him was surprising but as I said earlier I think the real Harrison wells will return by the end of the season of thawne Will keep his face due to how big an actor tom Cavanaugh is. Obviously now that Eddie thawne knows that Barry is the flash I expect them to set up the Hunter zolomon story up for him for season 2.
because of the relationship between Harrison wells and Barry deteriorating there was allot of drama in the episode and I thought the drama worked well and Mark hamill bought the humour into the episode that was needed.
The style of the episode was great with the flashbacks and the present day and the parallels really worked for me, and when Barry phased through the building it clearly shows that the flash is going to get all of his powers.
Overall I thought this episode was fantastic and the flash has thrived like nobody could believe it ever could.
The flash is on a small break in the UK now but I will be shortly doing a review for the new wondercon trailer that was released and has allot of new stuff to talk about.

Good kill (2015) review
I was interested in seeing this war film because of a decent trailer and some of the cast and now I realise that this film will be completely forgettable to anybody that sees it.
Now the premise of this film sees a supposed true story of an airmen grounded into uav attack work which ends up bringing moral issues in himself when he is given some orders that go against his beliefs.
Now Ethan Hawke was recently Oscar nominated for his work on boyhood which is a film I haven't seen yet but this wasn't his best performance. At times you see evidence that his character is having moral problems with what he is being asked to do but his character isn't made interesting at all by the situations he is put in.
Bruce greenwood is a good actor and I liked him in this film, he provided a realistic insight to warfare and really gave the audience a sense of what his team's situation is. The rest of the members of the team though we're pretty cliche and boring compared to what they really could have and should have been. January Jones has become a pretty big actor and she is perfectly fine in this film but it just felt like her character wasn't even needed in the film and she was a bit of an annoying distraction at times.
The story does have some intense moments in it and actually a view on terrorism that I haven't really thought about allot is addressed in this movie and I like that. But once again the character development was lacking and all the side plots felt awkward and like they shouldn't even be in the film.
The script was untreatable all the way through it is mostly military chat and there characters have such wooden dialogue that their characters feel completely one dimensional.
The style of the film is intense and quite in your face with realism, but by the 50 minute mark I was getting annoyed at seeing basically the same scene 3 times already it just felt lazy and like no effort was put in.
Overall this film is below average and even though not terrible you will completely forget about it after seeing it.

Last Knights (2015) review
Now I know I haven't done a movie review for a New film recently but I managed to get to see the new Clive Owen/Morgan Freeman film last knights. Now this film is not in the UK for a few weeks and when it does come I would advise you to stay as far away from it as you can.
Now the premise of this film is that in this fantasty medieval land there are masters of the land and they have top commanders who are incredibly loyal to their masters. When Owens master is branded a traitor he must go out to seek revenge for his master.
Now Clive Owen has never been an actor that had impressed me much in his career and this film is pretty much the same deal. You don't care to root for the guy because you know nothing about him and for most of the film he is actually a douche to everybody around him. His character was completely uninteresting and really did not help this film one bit.
Now Morgan Freeman was plastered in all the trailers and posters for this film and it was a complete bait and switch as he is in about 30 minutes of the whole film. He was probably the best part of the film as his character seemed to be the moral high ground of the film but like all the characters in the film you aren't given enough details to care about him. Everybody else in this film is not worth anything whether it be the villains or the heroes they are not given any detail and are not featured in any way for you as the audience to care about them.
Now the story could have been one of those simple action stories that allow for a simple film which this should have been, but this film tried to overcomplicate everything in the film to turn it into a drama with a little bit of action. With a little bit of a tweak and a big chunk of the film taken out this film could have been good but they didn't and thus this film sucks.
The script was bad, yes this is a dark film but there is absolutely no humour at all and barely any of the dramatic tension hits with you because of how bad the character development is.
This film was billed as an action adventure film but it truly isn't it is a drama with a bit of action. Now the action scenes are pretty well done and I enjoyed all two of them but the pacing of this film is terrible and almost sent me to sleep.
Overall this film is terrible and other would advise you stay far away from it.

Arrow season 3 episode 17 suicidal tendencies
I have seen the new episode of arrow and it is about time I spoke about it. Be careful for spoilers if you have not seen the episode yet.
Even though this was a big suicide squad episode Stephen amell still managed to have a big part in the episode. It seems this season the arrow is a hybrid of the season 1 and 2 character and the situation he has been put in allows him to stretch his acting ability and make him an even more interesting character.
Obviously with the suicide squad being a key part of the episode David Ramsey was great and he has made diggle a really dynamic character and I liked the comparisons between him and deadshot. Speaking of Deadshot I really liked his arc in the episode and I loved seeing the flashbacks about him allowing us to care about his supposed death at the end of the episode. Felicity was once again great in the episode and so was Ray Palmer as he brought a different viewpoint to the character of the arrow.
The dual story of Oliver's plight and the suicide squad allowed the episode to always be exciting. The dynamic of the squad worked well and the sacrifice at the end of the episode felt truly emotional. It sucks that arrow don't seem to be allowed to use deadshot anymore due to the suicide squad film, also the Oliver story really worked for the episode.
The script was alright with some real dramatic moments in it but not too much humour which made it a pretty dark episode.
The style was good with all the action scenes working and the difference between the two styles was really recognisable and it worked.
Overall a really good episode that sets up the rest of the season.

Deadpool will be rated R
Ever since a deadpool movie was announced there has been a huge discussion on whether it will be PG 13 or rated r and today in a video Ryan Reynolds as deadpool confirmed that the film will indeed be rated r.
Now people have been lobbying for a deadpool movie for years and February 2016 we will finally get our deadpool film. We have seen the costume which looks fantastic and the test footage which gives me allot of faith in the film.
With this news of a rated r rating it allows the film to show deadpool as he truly is and not like he was done in X-Men origins wolverine but this film is going to be totally deadpool. Ryan Reynolds is the perfect person to play deadpool and is going to bring the character to life.
This is one of my most anticipated films of 2016 because I love the character of deadpool and I truly believe that he will be shown as the awesome character he is.

New suicide squad casting news and new flash/arrow spin-off casting news.
Been a big fee days for casting in both the dc films but also the tv shows As the suicide squad gained the characters of king shark, Steve Trevor and killer croc. With the arrow/flash spin-off gaining rip Hunter and hawkgirl.
First to the suicide squad news, first of all they have cast Scott Eastwood in the film as Steve Trevor a member of Argus and a supposed love interest of wonder woman. Now I don't know allot about the character But from what it seems his role in this film will be pretty small but he will have a much larger role in the solo wonder woman film. I like this because it is nice to finally see dc setting up characters for future projects a bit similar to what marvel does.
Then to Raymond Olobowale who is also going to have a minor role as Amanda wallers bodyguard. Also it seems that he will be doing a MO cap performance so we will actually see king shark in all his crazy glory. I just feel like if they are building up this realistic cinematic universe how are they going to do king shark and killer croc in the right way.
The last bit of New suicide squad casting talk is that adewale akinnuoye-agbaje from Thor the dark world will play killer croc in this film. In the second film he played a monster of season character and I expect him to play something similar, we don't know if he is going to be a member of the team or something else but his character is one I am curious to see on screen.
Now to the arrow/flash spin-off the show has cast rip Hunter and hawkgirl on the show. Rip Hunter is a time traveler who comes from the future to change the past for one one reason or anotherr similar to Barry Allen and eobard thawne. Also hawkgirl is an ancient Egyptian who has magical armour that has kept her alive in this time period and made her a powerful entity. This is going to really be this universe's first delve into magic and I hope they do this character right.
Overall this casting is all good news and I am looking forward to both of these properties.
