Non-stop (2014) review

With Liam neeson's new action film run all night I had a chance to see the action film from last year non-stop and I will say that I was a little disappointed because this film is completely average.

The premise sees Liam neeson as a US air Marshall who is on a plane that has been hijacked and that every twenty minutes someone on the plane will die.

Now Liam neeson is great in these roles and this one is no different as he truly gets committed to this role and proves that he can still be awesome as he gets older. He really is the saving grace of this film and is easily the best part of the film.

In this film there are allot of suspects that could be committing the hijacking, Julianne Moore is the most developed of these characters and she is good in the film in her role. Even though there are some other decent performances none of the characters are fleshed out and you will not care about them.

The story of this film is where it completely derails, this hijacking story could have been simple but the events that people die are just ridiculous and convoluted and take away from the film. Also when the hijacker is revealed the reasoning for it is completely bonkers and ridiculous that it makes you laugh a little bit.

The script had its dramatic and funny moments but allot of the dialogue felt cliche and it really didn't help the performances as the dialogue made them feel pretty lifeless.

The style of the film was a bit surprising, there was more suspense to action in this film and the suspenseful scenes really worked for me. But when the action scenes came it was quite hard to see what was going on and it took the film down a notch.

Overall this isn't a bad film but it is completely forgettable and The definition of average.
