Spectre teaser trailer review

Recently we had the mission impossible 5 trailer and now we have our first look at the new Daniel Craig James bond film spectre.

The trailer shows that this film is going to take place pretty soon after skyfall and it also seems that this is going to be a darker film that looks at bonds past. Now the one thing I always ask for from a teaser trailer is give me a sense of the tone of the film and this trailer nailed that for me with the more in depth look at bonds past and the dark tone seems appropriate for this adventure and after what happened in Skyfall.

What I love about Daniel Craig's role as James bond is that he is a rough James bond but can also do the sophisticated look and there have been arguments whether he is the best bond but there is one argument that nobody could argue with is that he is the most interesting bond ever. That's the one criticism I have always had about bond is that they never go into any detail about his back story so I don't care about him but these Daniel Craig films go into detail on his back story and knowing more about him makes me care about his character.

Now we only get a brief look at him but christophe waltz is the villain of the film leading the group spectre, but it is clear just by the tone of his dialogue that him and bond have a history potentially having grown up together which provides a great dynamic to the story. It is also nice that the living main cast from skyfall are back and again because I know a bit about them I will care more about them.

Now yes this trailer didn't show any action but it didn't need to as we know the action will be great even though I'm not sure it will be as good as mission impossible rogue nation which now thinking about it the two films have a similar narrative at the core. But overall I really enjoyed this trailer and spectre is one of the films I am really looking forward to this year and by the look of the trailer it will deliver.
