Arrow season 3 episode 10 left behind review

Arrow is back in the UK and after the shocking events of the mid season finale there was allot of changes in this episode. Warning there may be spoilers in this review so if you haven't seen the episode then you should see it before reading this.

After Oliver's disappearance, arsenal and diggle continue to clean up the streets of starling until a new gangster rises in power. Malcolm merlyn gives the team a visit to give them the news about Oliver. Felicity trys to convince ray to give up his crusade and laurel finally debuts as the black canary. But the biggest shock is that maseo and kitana have healed Oliver and he is back alive.

Now with Oliver missing for the majority of the episode it meant that the rest of team arrow had the chance to step up. It has been argued that John diggle has been a bit of an irrelevant character so far in season 3 but this episode just proves how key he is to this show especially with Oliver missing. Roy was given all of the big stunts of the episode and it seems that Roy is missing that big brother at the moment and you feel for his character. Felicity was great in this episode as she makes you truly feel the severity of the situation and the fact that the man she loves has died and makes us feel as miserable as she did. Laurel wasnt a huge part of the episode but I truly hope that her character evolves and she doesn't just become as good start fighter as Sarah was straight away. The same thing could be said about ray Palmer as he is on a similar arc to laurel and that is interesting even though he isn't the most important character on The show at the moment. Vinnie  Jones debuted as the comic book character Brick and he is great as the gangster and I believe he can be one of the better villains of the season. A special mention to John barrowman as he is always great as Malcolm Merlin.

The story of the episode really focused on the aftermath of Oliver Oliver's death and Also bricks attempt to take over the glades. I really enjoyed how the new team worked together and how the fallout of the last episode really affected all the characters. I really hope the black canary arc is given time to build which is necessary. I am starting to like the flashback scenes more and I think they are starting to get interesting with this bio weapon story. I predicted that maseo would be the one who would heal Oliver but I didn't think it would be this soon, I wanted them to draw it out more but I really hope they don't have him come back to starling soon.

The dialogue was great with merlyn having the best dialogue in the episode but everybody held their own in this emotional episode that had a somber tone.

The action scenes were great with Roy and diggle getting the best action and brick coming across as a brutal villain and I can't wait to see more action scenes involving him.

This episode was great with allot of positives to it after The Fantastic mid season finale, I do have a few fears about them rushing some stories but I really hope they don't rush it and keep the high quality of season 3.
