premier league weekend roundup

I know it is really late but now I am going to look at the premier league results from last weekend and how it has affected the season.

Best scoreline of the weekend - this goes to Manchester city's 5-0 destruction of Newcastle in dominating fashion. Manchester city proved just how good they can be with their offensive qualities.

Best performance of the weekend - on occasion the top two awards go together and this is the case with this week as man city had the best performance of the weekend. Their creative and offensive players ripped Newcastle apart and gave them absolutely no chance.

Best player of the weekend - it's gotta be man city's David Silva who scored two of city's goals on the weekend and truly runned the show and showed how football should be played.

Best manager of the weekend - this award is actually going to go to Swansea boss Garry monk for his team's performance against Manchester utd in their 2-1 win. They played a little differently to their usual free flowing way and became defensively resolute to do the double over utd.

Major talking points - it's got to be the terrible refereeing this weekend whether it would be in the Chelsea vs Burnley game or the Southampton Vs Liverpool game the standard of refereeing is at an all time low and needs to improve quickly. Man city are now only 5 points behind Chelsea and the race for the top four is getting very interesting.
