Next for a review is Everton
How their recruitment went - it went well with the 28 million pound signing being a good deal but so far he hasn't shown enough this season. Samuel etoo was also a good signing but again hasn't been consistent enough. Muhamed besic was signed after the world cup but hasn't impressed at all. But the permanent signing of Gareth barry was a no brainer.
How performances have gone - very poor, after a great season they now find themselves in mid table with surprising defeats to hull and Newcastle among them. However, they are still in the Europa league and have impressed in that competition so far.
How the manager has done - not great, he has seemed incapable of making his team clinical or defensively strong, but he has done well with giving the Europa league some respect and I believe he will improve as the season goes on.
Star player - Tim Howard, the USA goalkeeper has been evertons most consistent player this season and without him they would have an even worse defensive record. They're going to miss him while he is injured and it is key they get him back fit.
What they need to improve - they need to start going back to basics and defend like a top team which they have stopped doing. They also need to get more clinical in front of goal to make up for there defensive deficiencies.
Final positioning - 8th
