This trailer starts out in the future as we heard about in the original terminator films and the tone is perfect with the darkness really working instead of terminator salvation where they got the tone of the future war completely wrong. The guy they got to play John Connor is a good actor and I am looking forward to seeing his portrayal of the character. My main fear is the actor jai Courtney who I have never liked playing Kyle Reese who is a key part of the terminator story, but I am guessing that he can surprise me and I really hope he does.
This film in my opinion has a similar feel to the star trek film directed by jj Abrams in 2009. It is a reboot of but it doesn't debunk the original terminator films. This film seems to be a similar story to the first terminator film but with some interesting differences. Instead of Kyle Reese going back in time to protect Sarah Connor from Arnold Schwarzenegger's terminator. Sarah Connor is a trained soldier and has been with the Arnold's t800 training for years and they took out the terminator. But now with a t1000 coming back in time they must stop it and stop judgement day.
Now for me the terminator films are a mixed bag with the original film and t2 being awesome but t3 and terminator salvation suck. This film is really important because it will push the scale one way or another. Overall I love this trailer and I am really looking forward to this film as it seems to combine the first two films and retell one of my favourite films ever.
