Now the best part of the film is easily the turtles and their chemistry carries the film and makes it kind of watchable. The different turtles all have different distinctive characters and you care about all the turtles in a distinctive way. Michelangelo is the funniest and my favourite of all the turtles.
The supporting cast is nowhere near that level though. First of all Megan Fox as April o neil. She is about as good as you can expect as she is not a good actress and thus this performance is not good. However, she is not team worst will Arnett is just a walking cartoon in this film and not in a good way. He has the awful jokes that have become customary in a Michael bay involved film. William fichtner is not shredder by the way the rumours were wrong and his character shows some promise but it is quickly taken away from him. Shredder is in this film and in the action it works but his character has absolutely no character and this is unacceptable for a character as big as shredder.
The story is just all over the place and is just as bland as possible with nothing interesting at all. Also the end of this film is identical as the amazing spider man and I think this is actually hilarious but once again not in a good way.
The script for the turtles is hilarious and their dynamic lines help carry the film as everything they say hits an emotion really well. However, the dialogue for the human characters is awful and it feels like a guy just through cliche after cliche in a row and thought it was acceptable.
The style of the film is really cool and the action really works, there is no crazy shaky cam and all of the action is easy to see and it is great. Also the turtles and shredder looked really cool for this adapted film.
Overall this film is average and if you are a turtles fan you will be disappointed.
