Swansea mid season review 2014 - 2015

Next up for a mid season review is Swansea city

How their recruitment went - it went decent, they signed lukasz fabianski on a free and he has impressed in goal replacing Michel vorm and showing his true potential. Federico Fernandez was brought in and has done a decent job in central defence as Swansea have been good defensively. World cup star Jefferson montero has been brought in and has impressed with his pace really affecting full backs. Young Tom Carroll was brought in on loan and has done a decent job in the limited game time he has had. Bafetimbi gomis was brought in on a free and he has largely been a sub but has done okay in his performances. But the best signing was the return of gylfi sigurdsson who has contributed so many assists and goals and has really stood up and showed his quality.

How the performances have gone - it's been impressive some people assumed that this would be the year that Swansea got relegated but they have proven that that will not be the case. From the very first day they beat Manchester utd and that put down a landmark for the season.

How the manager has done - there was allot of skeptics when Garry monk was given the full time job as manager but he has done fantastically and really hit the ground running. For such a young manager he has shown experience in his team to get results.

Star player - wilfired bony, the centre forward had been superb this season and he has scored allot of goals for Swansea I'm not year of 2014. Unfortunately for Swansea it seems that he is going to be leaving the club and joining Manchester city in a 30 million pound deal.

How to improve - they need to replace bony with a new striker that will guarantee them goals. They also just need to be a little more solid in midfield and not let bigger teams overpower them.

Final positioning - 12th
