Steven Gerrard leaving Liverpool is a sad day for the premier league

Shocking news today in the football world as Steven Gerrard has announced that at the end of the season he will leave Liverpool football club after spending his whole career with them.

The 34 year old central midfielder announced today that at the end of the season he will make the toughest decision of his life to leave Liverpool and probably move to the mls. Now I must say that it is obvious that Gerrard is one of the greatest midfielders that I've been seen Grace the Barclays premier league and that he will go down as one of the biggest legends in Liverpool football club history. He won such trophies as the fa cup, the capital one cup, the community shield and of course the UEFA champions league, he also captained Liverpool for 12 years and was the captain of England before his international retirement in the summer. But even though he has won allot of trophies it is clear that he will regret never being able to win the Barclays premier league in his time with the club especially after how close they got last year. When I think of Steven Gerrard I think of the player that whether he was in a great team or a mediocre team he always shone and drove his team to success mainly like that night in Istanbul in 2005. Even though he is not the player he used to be it will bring a great issue to Liverpool's midfield and leadership because there are few captains as motivating and midfielders with the passing range of Steven Gerrard. I am sad to see him leave as I still believe he could have given something in this league t I pay respect to the legend that is Steven Gerrard.
