How performances have gone - shocking. After the great season last season this one has started awfully with defeats to Aston villa, Crystal palace and Manchester utd. All these results are unacceptable for Liverpool and they really need to improve. They came third in their champions league group which was a big disappointment and now they will enter the Europa league. They are in the semi final of the league cup and maybe winning this trophy could help turn their season around.
How the manager has done - Brendan Rodgers did a great job last season but this season he has look abject of life. Overall he seems to have failed with his transfer dealings and his tactical decisions have failed to say the least. I do believe that after last season I do believe he can turn it around.
Star player - raheem sterling, converted to a striker this season he has scored a good few goals and shown some good tenacity. But he hasn't been that good and still needs to improve.
How they need to improve - they need to get tougher in their defending and become harder to beat. Also they need to be more clinical in front of goal and take their chances. They also need to cut out the mistakes. They could do with also buying a central defender, a central midfielder and a centre back but they may have to wait until the summer for those players.
