Manchester utd mid season review 2014 - 2015

The next few for a review is Manchester utd.

How their recruitment went - well man utd have come under some criticism for spending a large amount of money but I do think it was necessary. The big signing was the British record fee for Angel di Maria and it was worth it. Even though he has had his injury troubles he has shown so much quality and when he gets fitter he will be up their for the best players in the league. Luke Shaw was brought in for 30 million and he also has had his injury problems I am sure that he will be a good long term signing for the club. Radamel falcao was brought in on loan and after a long injury he has come back and shown he has good workrate but his finishing needs to improve. Ander Herrera, Daley blind and Marcos rojo have all had injuries and we will have to wait to see how good they will be.

How the performances have been - after a pretty poor start to the season they have rebounded and with some consistent performances have found themselves in a champions league spot. They were embarrassed in the capitol one cup by mk dons which has seemingly been forgotten.

How the manager has done - Louis van gaal started the season with some of the same problems as David Moyes and his persistence with the 3 at the back. However, as the injuries have got less he has been able to create a fluid attacking team.

Star player - David de gea, I was tempted to pick Wayne Rooney but I picked de gea because without him man utd would be in a much worse position. He is probably the most improved goalie in the premier league and now is making saves that are winning games for his club and they must keep hold of him.

What they need to improve - they need to get defensively stronger a strong centre back is essential to challenge for the title. Also they need to be a bit more creative but I expect that is because of the injuries they have suffered.
