Sabotage review (2014)

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in an action role and unfortunately this film is just bad and not worth watching unless you are a massive Arnold fan.

The premise sees a group of dea agents stopping a drug cartel and attempt to steal 10
Million dollars. The robbery goes wrong and the cartel starts going after the group.

Now the best part of the film is Arnold's performance. He is the only member of the team that we learn anything about and we even become slightly sympathetic for his character. Also even at his age he does good on the action scenes and that is pretty impressive.

Now one member of the supporting cast is okay with Olivia Williams doing a good job as the detective investigating Arnold's team. But the rest of the cast are actually shocking there isn't one likeable character in the film which is a shock considering there are some big actors in the film. Sam Worthington, Terrence Howard and Joe maganiello are big actors but none of them impress in this film due to the fact that none of the characters have any redeemable qualities to them.

The story is ridiculously convoluted and has unnecessary twists and turns that didn't interest me what so ever and I doubt it will interest anybody on earth.

The script is awful and it helps make the members of the team so unlikable. Their dialogue is just awful and there is a swear every line just showing how horrific these characters are.

The style is bad too. The action is masked by the fact that there is a crazy amount of shaky cam and also this film has loads of unnecessary gore and violence in it that really adds nothing to the film.

Overall this is a really bad film that you should really avoid and not bother seeing.
