Next up for a review is Newcastle United
How their recruitment went - it went okay but nothing massive. Jack colback has settled well after leaving arch rivals Sunderland and Daryl janmaat has impressed too. The best signing has been ayoze Perez who has come in from Spain and scored a few goals and been playing well for Newcastle so far this season. Signings like Remy cabella and Emmanuel riviere haven't really settled in and will take longer to adapt to the English game it seems.
How their performances have gone - a bit of a mixed bag, it started off really poor and with the team playing really bad. But after an impressive Christmas break they see themselves further up the table around where they belong.
How the manager has done - well Alan pardew has now left Newcastle to join Crystal palace but before that he had an interesting season to say the least. After the poor start he was under the most pressure maybe any manager has ever been under to be sacked. But after a good turnaround he has left and a new manager needs to build on the good foundations built there.
Star player - moussa sissoko, the French international has impressed in midfield this season with everything good about Newcastle involving him. He has scored a few goals and got some assists and his general play is improving every week that has made him newcastles most important player who they must keep.
What they need to improve - a manager who understands the demands of the owner and the premier league. They need a new manager who can make them a little more solid and a few new additions to the club wouldn't be a bad shout.
Final positioning - 10th
