Leicester mid season review 2014 - 2015

Next up for a review is newly promoted Leicester city.

How their recruitment went - leicesters recruitment was a bit of a mixed bag for me as I thought they did an okay job. Leonardo ulloa was brought in for allot of money but to my surprise has done well and shown he is worth the money. The signing of former champions league winner esteban cambiasso was a head turner but he's done okay so far. Danny Simpson has the premier league experience but just hasn't really been given a fair chance yet. I do believe that like Burnley that they needed more premier league experience in the squad.

How they have performed - awful to be honest so far. Apart from a victory over Manchester utd and a draw against Liverpool, Leicester have really struggled to pick up points in the division and find themselves bottom of the table with the risk of being cut a drift.

How the manager has done - it's been a rocky start for Nigel Pearson in the premier league this season and I do think he has suffered. I appreciate his attacking philosophy but it seems like a real lack of tactical intelligence sometimes with the way Leicester set up. Also his spat with the fans will not help him. I do believe he should stay this season but at the end of the season his job security may be a big question.

Star player - Leonardo ulloa, one good thing Pearson did do was bring in ulloa in the summer from Brighton. The centre forward has proven a hit scoring a decent amount of goals for the club so far and even though he went through a little drought he is key for Leicester's survival hopes.

What they need to improve - they need to start adapting to premier league situations and yes that may sometimes mean being less gun ho so you can survive in the division.

Final positioning - 19th
